The Thomas Syndrome consists of three members, all hailing from Fresno, California. The band's members have played music together for a number of years, in several different types of musical groups, and have been working on perfecting this band biography for nearly as long. While in one of their former musical exploits, a couple of the guys shared the stage with artists such as Tree63, Plumb, Smalltown Poets, Pax 217, and Switchfoot. Through these experiences and trials, much was learned, and the idea of The Thomas Syndrome was birthed.
Equally at home in a club, a stadium, a church, or their homes, the band strives to create an enjoyable musical experience for everybody. Their musical influences are wide-reaching and include (but are definitely not limited to) Delirious, Vertical Horizon, Pink Floyd, Jars of Clay, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Snow Patrol, This Day & Age, Caedmon's Call, Muse, Miles Davis, Gary Hoey, and Coldplay. Several of the band's songs deal with issues of faith, doubt, hope, insecurities, and love - issues that are common to the human race. The guys feel that their music is accessible to anyone, and conveys the authenticity with which they try to live their lives. In fact, one of the band's latest tunes is about maintaining authenticity when writing about one's self.
Simply put, The Thomas Syndrome realizes the power of music and desires to use whatever success they achieve to share love with people, whether through a song or social justice issues.
